We do basic machining in-house, but we also work with a network of specialized machining companies for different applications. Bristol has a strong pool of engineering talent, so we can get almost everything made or modified locally. Over the years, we have built a trusted network of these companies that meet our high standards of quality and preparation.

Engine work may involve bespoke base gasket manufacture, valve seat cutting, porting, piston machining, head skimming, welding & fabrication, dynamic balancing, turning & milling, and ultrasonic cleaning.

Engine building has always been a mainstay of the Louigi Moto business. Our engine recipes are renowned for their outstanding performance, exceptional reliability and surprising cost effectiveness. We build engines for road or track use and always in consultation with the owner to understand exactly what they want to achieve.

Our engines have competed in short circuit, endurance and Isle of Man races for more than 25 years, winning many championships and awards along the way, including six national championships in one season in 2024.

Quite simply, this is engine building, the way it should be done.
